After Friday’s bi-monthly food distribution on April 24, Christian Castillo and Bianca Ortega, from Seeds of Hope, along with volunteers, revamped the garden at Christ the Good Shepherd in Los Angeles.
Together they weeded, added mulch, compost, and new soil, planted new plants in the church’s previous beds, and in the two new wooden raised beds. The new plants include milkweed, yarrow, black sage, white sage, marigolds, kabocha squash, and tomatoes.
